Compatible Google Chrome OS Version By Dell

    2010 - 01.18

Google’s Chrome OS, perhaps, is the most awaited thing in 2010. The fact that everything is going to be on cloud and that users will not have to install anything (any tools, softwares etc.) makes Google Chrome an awesome thing. A software that will work both as your operating system and the browser is a must thing to have in your system. Also, it is said that with Google Chrome as your Operating system, it would take only seven seconds to get on to Internet.  Well, that’s definitely too quick!

I did know about all this (the news of Google Chrome OS is everywhere), but was quite amazed to know that Dell has already made available a compatible version for mini 10v netbook users. I found the information on this tech blog – onlygizmos.com. I personally am excited to use the actual Google Chrome OS, but until then Dell version would be a good thing to try out.

Anybody can download this 10v compatible version from the link given on the post – Dell Honours Geeks, Gives Chrome OS to Play With. There is also a link to the instruction set on how to download and use the version. It’s a simple work. Can load the file in a USB and then get on using it.

Dell users are sure having a great time getting to use the Google Chrome OS, a 10v version though. Until the actual Google Chrome OS is released in the market for public usage (and that’s not until 2010), all internet fanatics may use this compatible version by Dell.

But a word of caution: The application has a few issues, so users please be very cautious while downloading and using it. WiFi connectivity can be a problem. Nonetheless, it is worth trying out Dell’s work.

    2010 - 01.04

Most of us switch on our computers only to use the Internet. In other terms you could say, a computer without Internet is just like a plain box you would hardly use – may be just for listening to songs or watching a movie or use MS office, and nothing much beyond that. Also, though Internet is the most important part, we are always worried about our Operating System (OS) – what if some important data is lost,  It takes like ages to show up the desktop, blah..blah….there are hundreds of hassles our OS causes. Well, here comes the interesting part – Google is going to launch its Google Chrome Operating System in 2010, that will solve all such problems.

You must have heard of, in fact may may have used Google Chrome as a browser, but what is Google Chrome OS? In simplest of terms, Google Chrome OS will act as your browser and also your Operating System. That means when you switch on your computer, you will not have to wait for you Operating System to load programmes and then reach the desktop page where you can click on the browser icon to get connected to the net. Sounds good? It sure does.

The best part about Google Chrome OS would be that since everything is going to be stored on the cloud, you will be relieved the worry of loosing any important data.  So that was a quick look in the new Google Chrome OS, which is slated to be launched officially sometime in the coming year, 2010.
